City News 🌆

City Council: construction is up, and roadwork planning is in

Council’s Feb. 5 meeting included the City’s annual building report — and the headline number is big: 2025 construction value totalled $285.1M, up from $225M in 2024, with residential units rising from 143 to 422 year-over-year.

On the infrastructure side, Council awarded the reconstruction tender for Nesbitt Crescent and Vanier Avenue (work expected to start in April, weather permitting).
